I used to go to the gym regularly in my younger years and I really enjoyed it, at school I used to go swimming before school, I was I’m the local team and then I would do cross country training couple tines a week.
I think if you like sports at school it carries with you into adulthood. I prefer swimming now as it’s kinder on my joints although even some strokes can niggle at my joints after.
I think we all do the best we can and although I don’t lose weight I am happy not to put it on. I kinda keep myself at an acceptable weight without depriving myself.
I think people think I’m very motivated but I do hit the snooze button many times before u get up, groan and am aware of the cold and darkness outside, I also wake cuddling into my mini Daschund doggy hot water bottle, she really dosnt help wrapping herself around me literally under my skin.
What motivates me is how I feel during my session and after. I’m relaxed, and less achy, dopamine and serotonin levels are up, had some me time, connection and treat myself to a protein shake and flat white 😋 Happy and healthy and ready for bed.
My well-being is non negotiable x
